Satyajit Ray, a versatile and legendary filmmaker
, needs no extra introduction. He is a democratic leader. His words are brief, simple and lucid. But the impressions that emerge are extraordinarily rich in detail. From scripting, sketching his characters, designing the costume to directing and composing background scores, storytelling, music composer, Satyajit Ray mastered them all. He earned the prominence of being among the top ten directors of the world in the last century. He also redefined the concept of background scores in films with amazing musical knowledge and restraint, creating the necessary impact. His films are about human beings, human relationships, and social problems. He used to think that it is possible for everyone to relate to these issues. He was the only Indian to receive an honorary Academy Award.

As a leader, he used to think through every Act, every scene, every story beat, and know the core utility of each component. He has always behaved well to his team. A film making process needs a lot of rules to follow which is controlled by the filmmaker or a director. Satyajit Ray has all of it in him, how to make a perfect film and make the whole team work hard. For sound and music, teams are encouraged to work with a local composer and musicians to write and record music for the films. The film making a challenge is a lot about collaborating with the right people. Satyajit Ray has almost handled everything like casting, location, script, camera, editing, dubbing, background music, etc.
Apart from writing the screenplay of all his films, he has also written movies like The River (1951), directed by Jean Renoir, Goopy Bagha Phirey Elo (1992), directed by his own son Sandip Ray, and Target (1995), also directed by Sandip RayAs a Composer, the multi-talented Satyajit Ray also composed music for almost all his films, out of which songs for the fantasy comedy film Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne, is till date considered to be possibly his best work as a music conductor. As a Lyricist, he was the songwriter for his movies like Chiriyakhana (1967), Goopy, and Hirak Rajar Deshe (1980). He has also designed costumes for movies like Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1968), and Hirak Rajar Deshe (1980).

He has always surprised everyone with his perfection and extraordinary skills. The team whoever worked with him has always been influenced by him. He make people work together as a family.
